Don’t you just love all the fruit that is in season now? This is the sweet spot of summer where we have an abundance at our farmers markets. These Individually Layered Fruit Salads in jars are a cute way to showcase the fruit. I serve it with a Cardamom Lime Yogurt Dressing.
Jars of food are so popular now on Pinterest. You can make them, refrigerate and take to picnics, Hollywood Bowl, and the beach. They also make fun hostess gifts. They are easy to make and you can customize with your favorite fruits.
I have a box or two of jars and use them all the time. I serve drinks in them, desserts and now salads. For this salad I used pineapple, raspberries, blackberries and watermelon. Chop up your favorite melon or pineapple, add a few layers of berries, place the lid on and in the refrigerate. Whip up the dressing and store it in the refrigerator until ready to serve. No cooking or slaving in the kitchen on a warm summer day.
What fruit are you loving now? Tonight I brought home a big bag of cherries. Wait til you see what I did with them. You will die, it turned out so good!
